Ephesians: Week 20

There is a battle raging all around us, and most of the time we cannot see it with our eyes. That is the sobering and yet strangely liberating truth at the heart of this message drawn from Ephesians 6:10-13. Paul pulls back the curtain and shows us that the struggles we face, whether in our marriages, our minds, our families, or our faith, are rarely just what they appear to be on the surface. The argument that seems to be about something small, the anxiety that will not let go, the discouragement that keeps pressing in, these are often the visible edges of something much deeper and much older. The enemy is not random. He is strategic, and he knows exactly when we are most vulnerable. But here is where the message takes a turn that changes everything: the battle is real, but it has already been won. We are not called to fight for victory. We are called to stand in it. Ephesians 6 reminds us that we are fully equipped, not in our own strength, but in the vast strength of Christ. The invitation is not to white-knuckle our way through life, but to wake up to what is happening, link arms with one another, and take our stand together. This is not a solo journey. The word translated as 'you' in verse 11 is plural. It is a y'all. We stand together, or we struggle alone.
