Ephesians: Week 15

What does it look like to truly pay attention to how we walk through life? Ephesians 5:15-21 challenges us to move through our days not as unwise people stumbling along in the dark, but as those who are awake, aware, and filled with the Spirit. The passage draws a striking contrast between two ways of living: one driven by foolishness and reckless choices, and one shaped by wisdom, gratitude, and mutual accountability. Wisdom, as we explore it here, is not just accumulated knowledge. It is what happens when knowledge and lived experience meet. That intersection changes how we see our time, how we treat the people around us, and how seriously we take the moments we are given. The message is deeply personal. It asks us to stop measuring our walk by comparing it to others and instead fix our attention on how we ourselves are moving through this life. Are we making the most of our time? Are we walking in relationships where our words can actually be heard and received? These are not abstract questions. They are the kind that hit differently after a hard week, a loss, or a quiet moment alone with Scripture.
